As a digital humanities research unit, we prefer to have a deep involvement in the development of technologically innovative projects. While funds cannot and should not stop the beginnings of fruitful collaboration, WHP is mostly a self-supporting UO unit and, therefore, does some work on a fee-for-service basis.

WHP offers fee-based consultations and services for project development, proposal writing, and the building, maintenance and hosting of research oriented Web sites, databases, and multimedia archives.

The basic hourly fee for the purpose of calculating WHP’s role in proposal submission is $50. This basic fee covers general digital design services provided by our staff as well as a portion of WHP overhead expenses. In addition, a portion of FTE for named WHP personnel, specialized software, equipment, and other direct costs that support WHP’s participation in the project may be included in the proposal. A more detailed fee schedule is available upon request and subject to discussion with the principal investigator.
