Malinalco

The main temple at Malinalco.
To enter the main chamber, one walks through the open mouth of a serpent,
treading on its bifurcated tongue. Figures in stone appear to guard the entrance.
The thatched roof is a re-creation.

This site was apparently an Aztec outpost that was active in the late-fifteenth century.
