An excellent way to deepen your Spanish Language skills and to learn many aspects of Oaxacan life that may be inaccessible to those staying in hotels. Living with a family while you are in Oaxaca is also much less expensive than staying than staying in a hotel.

- Instituto Cultural de Oaxaca ICO offers instensive Spanish language classes – some as brief as one week in duration – that you may consider enrolling in either before or after the Institute.
- Homestay Finder – I don’t know anything particular about this resource other than that I found two listings in Oaxaca on the day I checked (JM).
